Watch Brad Miller's Buzzer Beater - Counted or Not?
The Denver Nuggets and the Chicago Bulls squared off yesterday. Having a tough fight, with 0.03 second left, the Bulls lead 90-89. But the Bulls still have a chance to win this game.
With the catch and shoot of Brad Miller, it turned a heart breaker for the Nuggets. But after the review of the referees, Miller's buzzer beater turned out to be a heart breaker for them, for they have thought that they won the game. With your bare eyes, observe and watch this video. Share your thoughts if he really did or didn't made the shot before the buzzer.
Based on my observation, Miller's buzzer should count. Try to pause the video bit by bit, and you'll notice that Brad did released the ball when the buzzer sounds. Seen at the court level and birds eye view, you'll be able to judge that Miller's shot should count.
However, the Nuggets take this game, improving their standing to 6 wins and 2 losses.

Iverson takes Indefinite Leave due to Personal Issues
Allen Iverson left the Grizzlies team Saturday (11/07/09) following a meeting with the team's owner and Coach Lionel Hollins after getting frustrated of his back-up role in the team.
Michael Heisley, owner of the Memphis Grizzlies team gave Allen Iverson the permission to skip the Grizzlies' game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Iverson had played off the bench in the previous two games after not playing for the first three because of hamstring injury.
Iverson once said, "I just want to win, I hate losing more than I like winning," Iverson said prior to Friday's game. "Its just a frustrating feeling losing. I've never been a loser in my career and I dont want to start now. I'm not trying to be selfish or anything like that, I just want to win."
"I understand star power, and that's to be expected," "I wouldn't mind even talking about Allen's star power if it was about the game and his performance during the game, versus what Allen has said and what he will or won't do," coach Hollins said regarding the issue.
source: NBA.com
Allen Iverson obviously is frustrated because of what is happening in his career. AI who was a former MVP, turned out to be a reserve player in his team. It only shows and proves that AI's glory days have already passed, as I've said in my previous blog (http://g4j7.blogspot.com/2009/11/ais-debut-making-lousy-statement.html). Hollins is aware of that, that's why he makes such actions, to blend AI in the line up according and not beyond to his role.
Seen in AI's latter years in his career, he may have played in his team well, but not efficiently. AI can't carry his team to victory anymore. Even if he has good company (as seen during his career at the Nuggets), it won't work. AI's position as a point guard (known as a first-pass type of player, sees opportunities for his teammates) does not fit to him. He plays more of driving into the hole. I appreciate that Hollins made Him to play off the bench. Not because he wants to degrade and not to maximize AI's ability, but he wants AI's skills to blend in the team.

Celtics and Nuggets Record remains Unblemished
Wednesday night (11/04/09), the Boston Celtics survived the "too close game upset" 92-90 against the T-Wolves to have a 6-0 while the Denver Nuggets blowout the Nets 122-94 to have 5-0 record. These two teams are the only teams remaining without a loss on the NBA. Both teams make a great impression on the league.
Two teams have started strong. Their team schedule is not the reason why they have come up with an unblemished record. Both teams have clashed with both competitive and bottom-list teams in the nba, but were still able to maintain a perfect win-lose record.
The Celtics' 6 wins credited from their games against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Bobcats, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. On the other hand, the Nuggets' managed to collect their 5 wins from Utah Jazz, Portland Trailblazers, Memphis Grizzlies, Indiana Pacers and New Jersey Nets.
The Denver Nuggets will have balanced schedule in their next 4 games and all of these will be on the road. They will be facing the Heat on Friday, the Hawks on Saturday, the Bulls on Tuesday and the Bucks on Wednesday.
While the Boston Celtics will face three competitive and a feeble team on their next 4-game schedule. They will be facing the Phoenix Suns on Friday at home, the New Jersey Nets on Saturday at the road, the Utah Jazz on Wednesday at home, and the Atlanta Hawks on Friday also at home.
Here are the videos of last games' highlights of both teams.

Phoenix stay Undefeated, defeated Heat
The Phoenix Suns stay undefeated as they put a loss mark on the Heat's record. The Suns won 104-96 against the Heat. The Suns now holds a record 4-0 to start smoothly this season.
The Phoenix Suns make a late push in the 4th quarter and be the first one to defeat the Heat this season. An unstoppable Steve Nash was showcased in the game leading the team with 30 points. He had a great moment in the 3rd quarter monopolizing the score of the Suns in the quarter.
With him in the Suns line up and a better chemistry of the team, the Suns will surely have a good record this season and a great opportunity to have their appearance once again in the play-offs.
The Suns are expected to play against Orlando Magic tomorrow.
Here is a highlight of their game against the Heat. Steve Nash dishing the ball to Amare Stoudemire for a slam.

AI's debut, making a lousy statement
Allen Iverson played his game debut with the Memphis Grizzlies against the Sacramento Kings yesterday. Fans expected that AI will contribute for the said "not-so-much" competitve team. But this didn't happened as they lose against the Kings 127-116.
Where is AI's presence in his game debut? He only contributed 11 points and 1 assist, making a lousy statement for his team. I believe, this is only a fact that AI's skills and glory days already passed by. This may be one of the reasons why teams are not taking a strong grip with him as a player in their team. His effectivity in the court obviously collapsed in his past career years.
Some may say, it is very early yet to conclude. He may only need some time to get his rhythm with his new team. But with an obvious perception with the game and his past career years, it may be an affirmation that AI's presence is not a factor for the Grizzlies.
If we recall the Nuggets-Pistons trade, trading Billups for AI. It was obviously seen how the Nuggets go up and the Pistons go down in the league's team standing. It was a great mistake for the Pistons, making their team's competitiveness to be on the bottom list.
AI may have started a great career, but now, with these obvious stats and analysis, he may have finished it rottenly.
Back in his game debut, Zach Randolph, OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay were the ones who lead their team. They scored 30, 22 and 21 points respectively. But the 48 points of Kevin Martin and the help with his company are too strong for them. Kevin Martin lead his team to defeat the Grizzlies.

Good Start for the Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have a good rhythm at the start of this season as they stay undefeated. The Heat defeated the Pacers and Knicks on the first two games of their season. Then, defeated the Bulls 95-87 as Dwayne Wade reached his 10,000th career point. This leads to team's good start having a 3-0 record.
One thing I observed during the Bulls-Heat game is the good team chemistry of the Miami Heat. Excellent ball rotation that creates scoring opportunities, drop pass inside the paint that leads to converted points, and spot up plays are some of the key plays of the Heat that leads to their success. With The maturity of Michael Beasley's game, the inside presence of Jermaine O'neal, the support of the Heat's 6th man Carlos Arroyo, and the consistency and athleticism of Dwayne Wade, the Heat will surely become one of the competitive teams in the East.
However, they should explore more of their team's chemistry. Their current performance is not an assurance that they will be as competitive as the top teams in the league such as the Lakers, Magic, Cavaliers, and the Celtics. But I believe that the Heat has a great possiblity to become one of the competitive teams in the league, having the two sophomores, Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers, on the line up. But not yet for this season. They just need more time to explore their team's potential.
The Heat are expected to face the undefeated Suns this 3rd day of November.
Here is a video of Dwayne Wade's smooth drive into the paint during their game against the Bulls.
