Vince Carter is now on the Orlando Magic's line up. But having him caused Hedo Torkuglu to be out of the team's business. What will be the advantages and disadvantages having Vince Carter in and Hedo Torkuglu out of the team's line up?
Vince Carter is a player who was once a key player of the toronto raptors and the new jersey nets. Known for his athleticism, he lead the said two teams. He made these teams to attain a playoff position during his early presence on both teams. But on the latter part of his stay, his team became incompetent in reaching a playoff spot.
The reason behind this is that Carter's athleticism and presence will only be very useful once he is accompanied or he accompanies some other key players in a particular team. With him in the Orlando Magic's line up, Carter will surely find his skills useful having Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis as his teammate. They will surely have a good trio tandem on the Magic's line up.
But the sad part on having Carter on the Magic is the fact that the team released Hedo Torkuglu from their line up. Reviewing the past season of the Magic, Torkuglu contributed a major for the team to make the finals.
Having Carter, who is athletic and competitive player inside and outside the paint would be good, but having Torkuglu, who has a height and size advantage compared to Carter, also competitive inside and outside the paint, would be much better.
If the Magic would have given Torkuglu more time to stay in their line up, the team's chemistry may have strengthened further. But with a new Carter on the line up, team chemistry adjustments would be made by the said team.
But still, the Magic's line up is also a new thriller for the nba fans. Having Vince Carter on the line up will be create new excitement and expectations from the fans and from the team itself.
Here is a video of Dwight Howard's interview regarding his team with Vince Carter and wishful thinking that Hedo Torkuglu will be back to their line up.
